Lindsay Dee Lohan (born July 2, 1986), known professionally as Lindsay Morgan Lohan, is an American actress, pop music singer, and former fashion model. She started in show business as a child model for magazine ads and television commercials. At age ten, she began her acting career on a soap opera; at eleven, she made her motion picture début by playing both twins in Disney's 1998 remake of the film The Parent Trap. Lohan's breakout role as a leading actress came six years later with 2004's film Mean Girls, which shone the media spotlight on her professional and personal lives—including her nightlife and her parents' marital and legal struggles.

As an adult, Lohan began to take on more varied roles and projects, including Robert Altman's A Prairie Home Companion. While filming Herbie: Fully Loaded in 2004, Lohan launched her career in music, recording and releasing her first studio album, Speak; her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), was released in 2005.

Lohan completed filming the independent Emilio Estevez film, Bobby, opposite Elijah Wood, in December 2005; its release is scheduled for November 22, 2006. Chapter 27 with Jared Leto began filming in New York on January 9, 2006, and had wrapped by March.

Three new projects were announced in April 2006: Lohan will play a girl molested by her stepfather in Georgia Rule opposite Felicity Huffman and Jane Fonda, and a speech assistant to Adrien Brody in Speechless (she also was set to portray the friend of a rebellious teenage boy in the comedy Bill, but dropped out). In May, Lohan joined Annette Bening and Sean Bean as the announced stars of the film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance.

She has graced the covers of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Numero, appeared in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2005, and was named in August 2005 as the replacement for Christy Turlington in the Calvin Klein "eternity" fragrance campaign. Holly Rachel Vukadinovic' (born May 11, 1983 to Serbian father Rajko Vukadinovic' and British mother Rachel Stevens), who is better known by her stage name of Holly Valance, is a New Zealand-born actress and singer. Holly is related to the late British comedian Benny Hill— Hill's cousin was her grandfather (i.e., they are cousins twice removed). She was educated at the Star of the Sea College, a Catholic high school located in Melbourne, Victoria.

Career

Valance's big break came when she landed the role of Felicity "Flick" Scully in Neighbours. Holly's first single as a recording artist was Kiss Kiss (based on Turkish singer Tarkan's hit single Simarik), released in 2002. The video for Kiss Kiss was notable for the impression that she was dancing naked, with her nudity only concealed by strategically placed lighting. In fact she was dancing wearing flesh-coloured underwear, and the footage of her dancing was then digitally retouched to create the illusion. [She insists on a 'no-nudity clause' in all her movies.] Her début album Footprints went on sale at the end of that year.

Kiss Kiss debuted at #1 in both the Australia ARIA charts and UK Singles Charts in (April-May 2002). Her next single, Down Boy peaked at #2 in the UK and at #3 in Australia, while her album Footprints debuted and peaked at #9 in the UK and at #16 in Australia. Her third single Naughty Girl peaked at #3 in Australia and at #16 in the UK. The first single State of Mind from her next album of the same name debuted and peaked at #8 in the UK and at #14 in Australia, but the album didn't get into the top 50 of either country.

It was later reported that Valance was dropped from her record label following legal problems with her manager/boyfriend, and poor sales from the album "State of Mind". However, the webmaster of her official website stated:

"Holly has parted on good terms with London Records. She's recording in LA and reading scripts for movies too. She'll be releasing more music at the beginning of next year, under a new record label."

It was expected the new material would appear in 2005, however Valance is said to be close to completing a new album now. See more below.

In 2002 she won the British GQ Award for "Woman of the Year".

In 2004 Valance returned to acting, this time in the United States, appearing in episodes of the television series CSI: Miami and Entourage, and in 2005 she appeared in an episode of CSI: NY. She also starred in three episodes of Prison Break. She will soon appear in the National Lampoon comedy Pledge This! and DOA: Dead or Alive, an adaptation of the popular video game Dead or Alive, where she will play Christie.

She also currently serves as the promotional face of Australian collect call company Reverse Corporation.

Gemma Atkinson is a young British actress, who is best known for playing Lisa Hunter on the teenage soap opera Hollyoaks. She and Marcus Patric (Ben Davies in Hollyoaks) subsequently appeared in a spin-off series called Hollyoaks Let Loose, in which their characters start a new life living together in Chester.
