Josie Maran (born Johanna Selhorst Maran on May 8, 1978) is an American fashion model and actress. She is also well known for her association with cosmetics company Maybelline.

Maran was born in Menlo Park, California to a father of Russian and Polish descent and a mother of Dutch, French and German ancestry. She began modeling part-time after an agent spotted her at a local barbecue restaurant at the age of 12. Maran continued a more dedicated career after graduating from Castilleja School. Considered to be too short for runway modeling at 5 feet 7 inches, her career consists mostly of editorial modeling and advertising/image modeling. Signed at age 17 with the Elite agency of Los Angeles, Maran appeared on her first cover with Glamour in 1998, and was the featured Guess? Girl in their Summer 1998 and Fall 1998 campaigns. After accumulating a resumé of over 25 commercials and advertisements, including a music video for popular boy-band Backstreet Boys, Maran moved cross-country to join with Elite New York. In 1999 she landed a multiyear deal with Maybelline following in the footsteps of Christy Turlington, her idol.

In addition to her thriving modeling career, Maran began an acting career in 2001 with a star turn as title character Mallory in an independent film, The Mallory Effect. She continued to take on roles, in 2004 landing film roles as a French model in Little Black Book and as one of Dracula's brides in the film Van Helsing.

In 2005, she was recruited by EA Games to appear as a main character in the street-racing computer and video game, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which was released on November 17, 2005. She plays the game's second lead Mia Townsend, who guides the lead character through the game.

A January 2006 Shape Magazine interview with Josie has revealed that she has quit modelling and acting and is now happily living in Hawaii teaching children. She has also started doing yoga, eating organic foods, and has quit smoking.

She has dated magician David Blaine.

She is expecting a baby with Lee Alialbozi.

Josie Maran is an avowed bisexual. She has spoken of having sex with women, including porn star Jenna Jameson.

Heidi Klum (born June 1, 1973) is a German supermodel, actress, fashion designer, television producer and artist born in Bergisch Gladbach, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Klum speaks both English and German.


Career

Klum became known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and the Victoria's Secret catalog. In addition to modeling, she has appeared in several TV shows, including Spin City and Sex and the City. She had a role as an ill-tempered hair model in the movie Blow Dry, played a giantess in the movie version of Ella Enchanted and was cast as Ursula Andress in The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

In December of 2004, she became the host of the reality show Project Runway on the U.S. cable television channel Bravo, in which fashion designers compete for the opportunity to show their line at New York Fashion Week and receive money to launch their own fashion line.

In December of 2005, in addition to hosting the second season of Project Runway, she became the host of Germany's Next Top Model, the German version of America's Next Top Model, which aired on the German network ProSieben. The show was a ratings success, but was not without controversy. German feminist groups encouraged boycotts of the show after one of the contestants was eliminated after being told she was "too big". Several politicians also accused the show of promoting anorexia and other eating disorders.

Heidi Klum created her own clothing lines (including one for infants) that were featured in the German mail-order catalog "Otto". She also has designed shoes for Birkenstock, jewelry for Mouawad, and swimsuits - featured in the 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue - that, for a limited time, were available for sale through her personal website. She also produced her own fragrance, called "Heidi", which is currently available for sale through her own website. She is an avid painter and has had several of her paintings appear in various art magazines in the U.S. On September 27, 2002 she dedicated a sculpture she painted called "Dog With Butterflies" to commemorate the role of rescue dogs in the aftermath of September 11. She has also had a rose named after her, known as the Heidi Klum rose. Heidi Klum is featured in the 2004 James Bond video game Everything or Nothing, where she plays a villain Dr. Katya Nadanova.


Family

Klum has a daughter, Leni, named after Klum's grandmother, who was born on May 4, 2004. Her father is Flavio Briatore. Klum's husband, British musician Seal, is helping her raise the child. In the earlier stages of their relationship, Klum said Seal treated Leni as if she were his own child. Klum and Seal were wed on May 10, 2005, on a beach in Mexico. Klum gave birth to their son, Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, in Los Angeles on September 12, 2005. He is named after his father, whose birthname is Henry, Heidi's father Günther, Seal's father Ademola and after a Navy jet, the Dash Two. As the Dash Two watches over the main jet, Henry is supposed to watch over his sister. Klum revealed the meanings of her son's several names on her TV show, Germany's Next Top Model. In June 2006, Klum and Seal announced that they are expecting another child. Seal told People, "It gives me great joy to announce that Heidi, Leni, Henry and I are expecting a new addition to our ever increasing family. We all feel both excited and fortunate to be able to share this experience once again."

Caroline Trentini (born July 6, 1987) is a Brazilian supermodel. She was born in Panambi, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and is of Italian and German descent. Trentini is the youngest daughter of Lourdes and the late Jacó Trentini, who died when she was one year old. Her older sisters are Franciele and Élen. Although she had never worked before, Trentini's mother got a job as a public employee when her husband died and raised her daughters single-handedly.

At about 13, Trentini was discovered walking down a street in her hometown by an agent, the same one who scouted Gisele Bündchen, and soon afterward she moved to São Paulo, the common destination for young Brazilian models. She was frightened to be alone in the big city – Panambi had only 40,000 residents. However, her modeling career took off and after a year she moved to New York City. She couldn't speak English but quickly learned. Her breakthrough came when Marc Jacobs himself cast her in his Marc by Marc Jacobs ad campaign, photographed by Juergen Teller.

In 2004 she was photographed topless by Steven Klein in a freezer, surrounded by meat, for a Vogue editorial. Although it turned out all right, she became a vegetarian. "[The photo shoot] was worth it but I was traumatized," she said. Klein even sent her flowers and a card congratulating her on her professionalism. Trentini's trendy elfish looks and trademark freckles have helped her snag coveted runway spots at shows such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Versace, Chanel, Christian Dior, L.A.M.B., Baby Phat, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Dolce & Gabbana. She has appeared on the covers of magazines ELLE, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, among others.

She now lives with fellow Brazilian models Cintia Dicker and Bruna Erhardt in New York City. They are her good friends and "sisters." Of NYC she has said, "I have traveled the world and this is the place I like to be the most." She has said that Kate Moss and Caroline Ribeiro are her favorite fashion icons and that she would like to work with legendary photographer Irving Penn.
